Six Dinner Sid by Inga Moore

Sid wants six dinners, so he lives in six different houses and has six different owners who are unaware of one another. When they find out, they get angry and quit being Sid's owners. But don't worry, Sid finds six new owners, who know one another and don't mind feeding Sid six times.

How these stories are connected:  Difficult situations and question can confuse us. Who owns Sid? Who is the widow’s real husband? Sometimes we don’t have answers and we simply need to try and live the way God wants us to live.

Questions about Six Dinner Sid:

In the beginning, who owns Sid?
     Why does everyone get upset?
Why aren’t people upset in the end?
Who owns Sid in the end?

Questions about the Bible story:

Why does the woman have seven husbands?
Who does Jesus say her real husband is?
Why doesn’t Jesus think this question is important?
What does he tell the Sadducees to do?

Questions about our lives:

How do you feel when the answers to your questions are confusing?
How do you behave when that happens?
How is Jesus teaching us to behave when that happens?

Prayer

Dear Jesus, please be our friend and help us when we are confused. When our questions don’t have good answers, teach us to be kind and to do our best. Amen.
