Lutheran Church of the Cross is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). We are partnered with other ELCIC Lutheran congregations across Alberta and the Territories through our local ELCIC Synod of Alberta and the Territories.

The ELCIC is a Canadian representative the Lutheran World Federation (LWF). The LWF is a global communion of 145 churches in the Lutheran tradition, representing over 74 million Christians in 98 countries. The baptized membership of the ELCIC is roughly 145 thousand members.

We support the programming of Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon, SK, and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary as the educating and pastoral formation institutions of the ELCIC.

We participate with Canadian Lutheran World Relief in assisting the world with hunger relief, disaster response, refugee support, and educational, medical, and other social programming in developing countries around the world.

We participate in the camping ministry of Kuriakos on Sylvan Lake, AB, accredited by Lutheran Outdoor Ministries in Canada (LOMIC) and Alberta Camping Association (ACA)

We are also members of the Calgary Alliance for the Common Good (CACG) and, through them, work with other churches, faith organizations, labour unions and community organizations to improve the life of Calgarians.

We also continue to benefit from our relationship with LEAD (Living Everyday As Disciples) which works with congregates to move from being stalled to being growing congregations connected with their neighbourhoods.
