Those Darn Squirrels! by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri

Old Man Fookwire has it out for the squirrels. They raid his bird feeders and scare away the birds he loves to paint. He plots his revenge...but in the end he gets a big surprise!

How these stories are connected: Jesus teaches people to love their enemies and pray for those who cause harm. As Old Man Fookwire and the squirrels learn about one another, they grow in compassion and exhibit the kind of growth Jesus inspires in us.
