No, David!  by David Shannon

A young, curious boy seems to do all the wrong things. After being told "No!" many times, he is finally punished. Just when he begins to feel unloved, he receives a life changing "Yes!"

How these stories are connected: We encounter all sorts of rules and regulations in life. Almost always, these rules exist to keep us safe. These stories both explore the boundaries between what we should and shouldn't do and explore the connection between obedience and love.

Questions about No, David!:

What kinds of things was David doing?

Why did his mother tell him, "No, David!" ?

How did David feel about that?

What happened at the end of the story?

Questions about the Bible story:

Why do you think Adam and Eve ate that fruit?

What happened when they did? Why do you think that happened?

How can you tell God still loves them?

Questions about our lives:

What happens when you do things you shouldn't?

How can you tell you are still loved?

Prayer
