Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst

A boy experiences nothing but one bad thing after another to make one terrible, horrible, no good very bad day.
How these stories are connected: Jacob was tricked into marrying the sister of the girl he loved and tricked into working hard for someone else. Alexander had one bod thing after another happen to him in a day he would rather not remember. Bad things happen to everyone. What can we do when bad things happen to us?
