Meet the Barkers by Tomie dePaola

Morgie and Moffie can't wait to go to school. Moffie is very smart, knows lots of answers knows, and earns a lot of gold stars. Morgie likes sharing his dinosaur book and makes two new friends.  They are jealous of one another, but by the end of their first week, Moffie and Morgie help each other make new friends and do well in their work.

How these stories are connected:  Jealousy damages relationships. The children’s story highlights the trouble with jealousy; the bible story demonstrates how bad it can be. These stories help us explore anger and jealousy and the possibilities for making choices that build one another up instead of doing damage.
