Those Darn Squirrels! by Adam Rubin, Illustrated by Daniel Salmieri

Old Man Fookwire has it out for the squirrels. They raid his bird feeders and scare away the birds he loves to paint. He plots his revenge...but in the end he gets a big surprise!

How these stories are connected: These stories help us explore the ways that peace can begin with one person. Each of us has the ability to change our hearts and open ourselves up to the possibility of friendship with anyone, even people we don’t particularly like.
