For the Beauty of the Earth

1 For the beauty of the earth, for the beauty of the skies,
for the love which from our birth over and around us lies:

Refrain
Christ, our God, to thee we raise
this our sacrifice of praise.

2 For the wonder of each hour of the day and of the night,
hill and vale and tree and flow'r, sun and moon and stars of light:  Refrain

3 For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and mind's delight,
for the mystic harmony linking sense to sound and sight:  Refrain

4 For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth and friends above; for all gentle thoughts and mild:  Refrain

5 For each perfect gift of thine, peace on earth and joy in heav'n;
for thyself, best gift divine, to our world so freely giv'n:  Refrain

Text: Folliott S. Pierpoint, 1835-1917, alt.

Come, Let Us Worship

Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our God our maker.
Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our God our maker.

For this is our God and we are the people of God's pasture and the sheep of God's hand,
and the sheep of God's hand.

R153 Send Down the Fire

Refrain:
    Send down the fire of your justice,
    Send down the rains of your love;
    Come, send down the Spirit, breathe life in your people,
    and we shall be people of God.

1. Call us to be your compassion,
Teach us the song of your love;
Give us hearts that sing,
Give us deeds that ring,
Make us ring with the song of your love. (Refrain)

2. Call us to learn of your mercy,
Teach us the way of your peace;
Give us hearts that feel,
Give us hands that heal,
Make us walk in the way of your peace. (Refrain)

3. Call us to answer oppression,
Teach us the fire of your truth;
Give us righteous souls,
'Til your justice rolls,
make us burn with the fire of your truth. (Refrain)

4. Call us to witness your Kingdom,
Give us the presence of Christ;
May your holy light
Keep us shining bright,
Ever shine with the presence of Christ. (Refrain)

God the Provider

Creed by Rev. Andreas Wagner

We believe in the God who provides for our every need,
Who has an answer to our deepest questions,
And a purpose for us in life.
Today we praise God the provider.

We believe in Jesus Christ, our holy brother,
Who stands by our side when light turns into darkness,
Who suffers our pain and turns it into a blessing.
For the presence of Christ in our lives,
We praise God the provider.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the breath of life,
Who inspires us when our spirits are dried up,
Who creates something new when old structures crumble.
For the spirit of hope and renewal,
We praise God the provider.
Amen.

Bless the Lord

Bless the Lord, oh my soul and all that is within me bless God's holy name.
Bless the Lord, oh my soul and all that is within me bless God's holy name.

God has done great things.
God has done great things.
God has done great things, bless God's holy name.
