Luke 13: 10-17 Jesus heals a bent over woman on the Sabbath
We are quite unable to stand upright

On the Sabbath in the synagogue, Jesus heals a woman who is unable to stand upright. She has been "crippled" by a spirit for 18 years and when Jesus lays a hand on her, she is made to stand upright and she begins praising God.

In some ways, all of us are unable to stand upright. We have been carrying burdens and troubles given to us by an un healthy spirit that make continual claims on both our conscience and our actions. What we need most is not clarity of vision, nor direct orders for action, but rather a saviour with strong shoulders who can both carry our burdens and cause us to stand upright.
