John 20 After his resurrection, Jesus offers his wounds to Thomas
"I want to see his wounds!"

We have a wounded Lord, not a cleaned up and perfected one.

We have a Lord who suffered abandonment, betrayal, denial, torture, and death. He was and is wounded. He offers those wounds to us, not as proof of his own suffering, but of his love for us and of his ability to draw all woundedness to himself and bring forth life from it.
