I Will Call Upon the Lord

Words and music by Michael O'Shields

I will call upon the Lord
Who is worthy to be praised
So shall I be saved from my enemies
The Lord liveth and blessed be the Rock
And let the God of my salvation be exalted

Now We Remain

Refrain

We hold the death of the Lord deep in our hearts.
Living, now we remain with Jesus the Christ.

1 Once we were people afraid, lost in the night.
   Then by your cross we were saved;
   dead became living, life from your giving.  Refrain

2 Something that we have known, something we've touched,
   what we have seen with our eyes,
   this we have heard: life-giving Word.  Refrain

3 He chose to give of himself, became our bread;
   broken, that we might live;
   love beyond love, pain for our pain.  Refrain

4 We are the presence of God; this is our call;
   now to become bread and wine,
   ood for the hungry, life for the weary;
   for to live with the Lord, we must die with the Lord.  Refrain

ELW #172 Halle, Halle, Hallelujah

Halle, Halle, Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

On Eagle's Wings

1 You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,
   who abide in this shadow for life,
   say to the Lord: "My refuge,
   my rock in whom I trust!"

Refrain
   And I will raise you up on eagle's wings,
   bear you on the breath of dawn,
   make you to shine like the sun,
   and hold you in the palm of my hand.

2 The snare of the fowler will never capture you,
   and famine will bring you no fear;
   under God's wings your refuge,
   with faithfulness your shield.

3 You need not fear the terror of the night,
   nor the arrow that flies by day;
   though thousands fall about you,
   near you it shall not come.

4 For to the angels God's given a command
   to guard you in all of your ways;
   upon their hands they will bear you up,
   lest you dash your foot against a stone.

God the Provider

Creed by Rev. Andreas Wagner

We believe in the God who provides for our every need,
Who has an answer to our deepest questions,
And a purpose for us in life.
Today we praise God the provider.

We believe in Jesus Christ, our holy brother,
Who stands by our side when light turns into darkness,
Who suffers our pain and turns it into a blessing.
For the presence of Christ in our lives,
We praise God the provider.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the breath of life,
Who inspires us when our spirits are dried up,
Who creates something new when old structures crumble.
For the spirit of hope and renewal,
We praise God the provider.
Amen.

Our confidence is in the Lord

Our confidence is in the Lord

The source of our salvation
Rest is found in God alone
The Author of creation
We will not fear the evil day
Because we have a refuge
In every circumstance we say
Our hope is built on Jesus

God is our fortress
We will never be shaken
God is our fortress
We will never be shaken

We will put our trust in God
We will put our trust in God
