Acts 16:9-15 Jesus baptizes Lydia
Being open to God

God opened the heart of Lydia, a worshipper of God from Thyatira (one of the 7 churches of Revelation stated in modern day Turkey), to cling to the words of Paul. Her heart was so touched that she and all her household were baptized on the spot. She then begged Paul, Lluke, Silas, and Timothy to come to her home. (I read that as begging them to travel 350 miles from Philippi back to Thyatira.) Openness to God can throw us into the river of baptism and headlong into all sorts of other life-giving opportunities.
