A call to worship from Psalm 118

Give thanks to the Lord who is good; the mercy of the Lord endures forever.

Let Israel now proclaim, “The mercy of the Lord endures forever.”

The same stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.

This is the day the LORD has made;

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD.

We bless you from the house of the LORD.

God is the Lord and has shined upon us;

Form a procession with branches up to the horns of the altar.

“You are my God, and I will thank you; you are my God, and I will exalt you.”

Give thanks to the Lord who is good; the mercy of the Lord endures forever.

Lamb of God

1. Your only Son no sin to hide

But you have sent him from your side

To walk upon this guilty sod

And to become the Lamb of God

Refrain:    Oh Lamb of God, Sweet lamb of God

                I love the Holy Lamb of God

               Oh wash me in your precious Blood

               My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God

2. Your gift of love we crucified

We laughed and scorned him as he died

The humble King we named a fraud

And sacrificed the Lamb of God

3. I was so lost I should have died

But You have brought me to Your side

To be led by your staff and rod

And to be called a lamb of God

Announcements:

Holy Week pre-recorded worship services will be posted here (Sermons & Worship). The Gospel of Matthew clearly records the events of the last week of Jesus' life and we will hear that account as we walk day by day with Jesus through his passion, death and resurrection. Commit to experience Holy Week with power and purpose, with these worship services guiding your daily meditation and prayers.

We are offering live Maundy Thursday worship April 9 at 7pm and live Easter Sunday worship April 12 at 10am, both services with holy communion. See Pastor Laura's attached letter about holy communion, as these services will require some preparation in your home.

Kate Zaiser is directing the video recording of biblical stories for the Great Vigil of Easter (April 11). If you and/or your family is interested in making a video for Holy Saturday worship, please contact the church office (403) 255-4792. We can use your help...and let's make it fun!
