The Peiluck Memorial Window
The South Window

The window is the artist’s representation of Psalm 23, the Psalm of the Good Shepherd.

The green pastures are depicted as low rolling hills in various shades of green and gold. The blue waters of the stream flowing through the green pastures remind us of the still waters. The staff of the shepherd appears in three of the left panels.

Reflect on Psalm 23 and its invitation to walk down the valley toward the brilliant yellows of the sun representing the Lord in whose presence we will live forever.

The Cleveland Memorial Window
The West Window

The cross around which the window is constructed represents Jesus Christ and his triumph over death. The circle of lines radiating around the cross represent the circle of life. The golden wheat plants represent both the farm life of the Alberta prairies and the circles at the bottom represent grapes. The work of human hands transforms these into bread and wine. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, the central theme of the window, transforms all human work into the work of God.

Reflect on the upper left the Spirit of God hovers over all.

The Peiluck Memorial Window
The North Window

The window represents Psalm 121, beginning “I lift my eyes up to the mountains; from where will my help come?”

The image reminds us of the view west of Calgary: foothills leading to the Rockies with the Bow River flowing through the prairie fields. As our eyes are drawn to the snow-capped mountains set against the blue sky, we are reminded to look to God in times of difficulty and distress.

Reflect on Psalm 121 and its assurance of God’s protection and care, remembering that “God will keep your going out and your coming in forevermore.”
